While seving as Chairperson of Missions at the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, Tim Lanigan was introduced to Doorway to Peace. Tim took his first short-term mission trip to Haiti in 2002.

The needs of the people in this impoverished nation were evident. While on this trip God revealed to him the depth of spiritual need. He had an actual mountain top experience where he heard the voice of God, whether in his ears or in his mind, who knows? He was in a great state of communication with the Lord and had a strong sense of fulfillment during that entire ten-day trip.

After this Tim began serving on the board of directors, and has been back to Haiti several times since. He has helped with the digging of a well and the painting of the newly constructed school building. During each visit, there is always the need to coordinate with the local school board. He enjoys the opportunity to celebrate the progress of the young students and to encourage them. He finds great joy in worshipping with the local community in Farugasse.

Tim has a Master’s degree in Urban Ministry from Gordon Conwell Seminary, and is completing a Master’s of Divinity degree also through Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Tim and his wife, Yvonne, have four grown children and a grand-daughter. His “tent-making” occupation is as an MRI Technologist at a Boston hospital.

In addition to Doorway to Peace Tim has been involved with prison ministry in New Hampshire since 2001. Drawn to the continent of Africa, in 2007 Tim went on a mission trip to Ghana with a medical team where he served as an evangelist. In the Spring of 2008, Tim traveled with a group of pastors teaching and preaching in Hong Kong and The Philippines.

Tim’s vision for the future withDoorway to Peace Haiti includes medical team involvement in future mission trips, deliberate evangelism events as outreach to the broader community, and a growing connection with Christian believers in dedicated prayerful spiritual warfare.
