Rich Lescarbeau – Treasurer
Rich Lescarbeau was born and raised in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Attending University of Massachusetts, Lowell he earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting and is currently working on a Masters in Business Administration. While attending church in high school and college Rich’s passion for international missions awoke as he visited Guatemala and Honduras, working in impoverished areas.
Rich and his wife visited Haiti for the first time with a team through Doorway to Peace in July 2009. Following this experience, they both felt a calling from God to not only serve in Haiti but continue to support the needs and the mission happening through Doorway to Peace. The passion that Joseph Delva and Gama Belizaire showed for the Lord and for their home country of Haiti stayed in their hearts. Sharing this experience and their continued friendship with them is truly a gift from God. On this trip they fell in love with the children of Faugasse during afternoon programs and helped to paint the classrooms of The Pilgrim School. This exhausting, HOT and overwhelming experience left them both wanting more. As news of the earthquake shook the world, Rich and Rachael prayed for the lives of the people of Haiti and asked God to show them His vision for the country and their involvement.
Since 2009, Rich has been working towards his MBA and serving on the Board of Directors of DTP as Treasurer. His wife, Rachael, has continued to serve internationally, spending time in Kenya as well as serving through their Chelmsford, MA based church, Harbor of Hope, in an global coffee ministry serving both Haiti and Africa. Rich plays bass on the worship team at Harbor and enjoys glorifying God through his love of music and numbers. The desire to serve people in need, globally and locally, is a gift God has given to both of them to share.
Rich currently works as an accountant and lives in Dracut, Massachusetts. Both he and Rachael look forward to involvement in future mission trips and local fundraising for Doorway to Peace. They hope to be back on a plane to Haiti soon, working and serving alongside the people of Faugasse for a better future.
